ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Boyet Miguel of Tame the Tikbalang created the band-shot and cd layout.
Imprimatura - A transparent, coloured tint or glaze which is laid over a preliminary sketch or drawing to make a coloured ground.
The first End of Man painting and the compact disc design painting were made using Rembrandt's method of applying oil. The final album cover was made using Reuben's technique. The use of classical painting styles complements the entire theme of the CD.
The concept of Eve portrayed momentarily after the Fall supplements the bands name. Also in Biblical terms, the meaning of 'End of Man' is literally 'our higher purpose'. Eve gave us that purpose by making us mortal. (Again this is metaphorically speaking.)

picking the apple. I believe it was a conscious choice on her part, and because of that, we are free. The design on the actual disc is a detailed rendition of the pre-fall snake.
Ronald Schlander of The Beauty of Doubt remarked that the skull in the apple was too stereotypical an image, especially for a metal cd. Though I agree with him, it only confirms the image's appropriacy. The skull is the most literal representation of the mortality Eve chose for all of mankind to endeavor (In a mythical level). She was intentionally portrayed with a defiant, sinister expression to counter the general idea that she was stupid about
The END OF MAN CD DESIGN was originally the leftmost painting. It was left in its modelling in white and imprimatura stage because I came up with a better idea (the second picture). The figure is a representation of the Biblical Eve amongst symbols of the "Fall" of mankind. The snake, prior to being punished by God was said to have human-like arms and legs. Locusts are symbols of metaphysical Plague, or in a clearer sense, the acceptance of the bitter reality that life out of Eden is transient and mortal.
